Monday, 26th OctobeR
Welcome Reception

Join fellow CILECT attendees for an informal Welcome Reception at the historic IADT Carnegie Library. Whether you are a long-standing member of the CILECT network or attending for the first time, we invite you to join us for an enjoyable evening as we celebrate the start of the Congress and the connections that bring our global community together.

Time: 19:00-20:00 

Cost: This event is complimentary and included in the registration fee.  

TUEsday, 27th October
Welcome Dinner

The first evening of the congress will bring all attendees together for the official Welcome Dinner at the Royal Marine Hotel, the Congress venue, in Dun Laoghaire. Located just a couple minutes’ walk from the beautiful Dun Laoghaire seafront and East Pier, the Royal Marine Hotel is the perfect venue to kickstart the week of activities and events.

Dinner will be served as a three-course set menu. All dietary requirements can be accommodated; please ensure these are indicated on your registration form. Please bring your conference badge with you, as your dinner ticket will be printed on the badge and is required for entry. 

​

Cost: This event is complimentary and included in the registration fee. Accompanying persons are welcome to attend (maximum of two per registered attendee). An additional fee of €75 per person applies.

Friday, 30th October
Cultural Day

Join us on Friday, October 30 for the CILECT Cultural Day and a visit to the iconic Guinness Storehouse located in the heart of Dublin City.  

Located at the historic St. James’ Gate Brewery, you will explore seven floors of immersive storytelling, uncovering the history, craft and character behind Guinness. From learning how it’s brewed to discovering how to pour the perfect pint, your visit ends with unforgettable panoramic views over Dublin from the rooftop Gravity Bar. 

​

Following the visit, delegates will have free time to explore the city using our self-guided themed walking tours. 

​

Transport to the Guinness Storehouse will be provided for all registered Cultural Day participants, departing from the Royal Marine Hotel. Please note that return transport will not be provided.  

​

Cost: This event is complimentary and included in the registration fee. Accompanying persons are welcome to attend (maximum of two per registered attendee). An additional fee of €44 (excl. booking fee) per person applies. 

saturday, 31st October
Farewell Dinner

The 2026 CILECT Congress will conclude with the Farewell Dinner at the historic Royal Dublin Society (RDS) Concert Hall in Ballsbridge, Dublin on Saturday, October 31. 

​

Join us for an evening of food and conversation as we say goodbye to Ireland and our colleagues from around the world. 

Dinner will be served as a three-course set menu. All dietary requirements can be accommodated; please ensure these are indicated on your registration form. 

​

Transport to the RDS will be provided for all registered attendees, departing from the Royal Marine Hotel. Return shuttle buses will operate throughout the evening, with the final service departing at 23:00. If you are staying in Dublin city, the RDS is located along several public transport lines, the venue is easily accessible from other parts of Dublin. 

​

Please bring your conference badge with you, as your dinner ticket will be printed on the badge and is required for entry. 

​
