ABOUT THE TOWN
A harbour between Ireland and the wider world
Originally developed as a major harbour in the 19th century, Dún Laoghaire has long been a gateway between Ireland and the wider world. Today it is known for its seafront promenades, Victorian architecture, sailing culture, and panoramic coastal views.

Delegates will find cafés, restaurants, bookshops, and galleries within walking distance of the harbour. The town is easily accessible from central Dublin via the DART coastal rail line.

The iconic East Pier lighthouse, visible across the harbour, serves as the visual reference for the Congress identity — symbolising guidance, learning, and the role of educators in illuminating pathways for new generations of filmmakers.
THE CONGRESS VENUES
Dún Laoghaire is a compact coastal town and most congress venues are located within easy walking distance of one another. Local taxis are readily available, and the harbour, town centre, and promenade are all easily explored on foot.
